GUAN YIN Portrait 2018

In 2018, I was trying to portrait an ideal god ,
I found the closest one was GuanYin.
One day I saw Jiang Shen's work – Updo Avalokitesvaa in Meditation
It's fine and unique lines with skirt like a creek flowing down,
and the form is like a carven painting , which inspired me
The greyish green tone shows humbleness and tranquility of GuanYin
The background is an ancient Indian mural which represents the world
And the " god '' is the essence of everything

禪 定 觀 音 2018

想找尋和描繪理想中的神，當時心中最貼近的便是觀音
無意間看到蔣晟的作品 – 禪定高髻觀音菩薩像
其柔美獨特的線條及如同小溪潺潺流下的裙擺
就像用雕刻繪製的畫作，打動著自己
灰綠色階呈現觀音樸實與祥和的形象
背景以印度的古老壁畫代表世間的森羅萬象
而「 祂 」是一切萬物的本質
